Per Matt Maiocco of CSNBay Area former 49ers wide out Michael Crabtree is "Willing to wait however long it takes" to find the deal he wants this off season. Crabtree visited with the Miami Dolphins last week but left without signing a deal. It is unknown if the Dolphins offered him a deal at that time.
Miami may be looking for a veteran presence in the in the wide reciever ranks after moving on from Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson. Wallace was traded to the Vikings while Hartline signed with his hometown Browns and Gibson was picked up by the Patriots.
Crabtree famously held out after being drafted believing that his value was higher than his actual draft position. He eventually came to an agreement with the 49ers on a contract that averaged 5.3 million per season. It seems doubtful that he will find anyone offering him anywhere near that amount with the price only going down as free agency marches on.
