Dolphins free agents 2015: Louis Delmas Walk, Franchise, Extend

We continue our Miami Dolphins free agents Walk, Franchise, Extend game.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

We continue our game of "Walk, Franchise, Extend," working our way through the Miami Dolphins' 2015 free agents. We are working our way through the team's unrestricted free agents, giving you a chance to choose what the Dolphins should do with each of the players who are set to have their contracts expire in March.

Below you will find a poll. All you have to do it vote.  Once we make it through all of the Dolphins' free agents, we will post the results of who you want to walk, franchise, or extend.

Our first two polls looked at tight end Charles Clay and guard Daryn Colledge. This morning, we add safety Louis Delmas.

Delmas joined Miami on a one-year contract last season, signing in free agency. He provided solid play at the back of the Miami defense, especially once he was teamed up with Reshad Jones. He provided leadership in the Miami defense, and he was a good signing by general manager Dennis Hickey right up to the point in Week 14 when he tore his ACL against the Baltimore Ravens.

The one-year contract for Delmas paid him $3.5 million.

The recovery from the ACL tear is expected to take between 9 and 12 months, which would put his recovery timetable with an August return at the earliest. There likely will not be much interest in Delmas before he is able to demonstrate his knee is fully recovered, which could mean the Dolphins could wait until the summer to consider bringing Delmas back, but nothing is guaranteed.

What do you do with Delmas?
