Monday Night Football: Cincinnati Bengals @ Denver Broncos Live Thread

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

The 11 and 3 Cincinnati Bengals travel west this week to Denver Colorado take on the 10 and 4 Denver Broncos. The Bengals currently hold the 2nd seed in the AFC behind the New England Patriots but must win this evening to stay one game up on the Broncos in the divisional playoff slotting. The Bengals also still hold on to a slim hope of gaining home field throughout the playoff's with a Patriots loss to the Miami Dolphins (don't laugh, it could happen) next week. In addition, the Bengals have wrapped up the division title for this season in the AFC North.

The Broncos, besides needing a win over the Bengals to allow them to sneak in to the second seed slot in the AFC, which would also give them a bye week if they were to hold on to that seed, need a win tonight in an effort to continue to stave off the Kansas City Cheifs in their division, the AFC West. Kansas City sits only one game behind them, after this weeks game. Denver has also yet to actually secure a spot in the playoffs with two teams, New York Jets sitting at 10 and 5 and the Pitsburgh Steelers sitting at 9 and 6, behind them in the current AFC seedings.
