Sunday Night Football: New York Giants @ Minnesota Vikings Live Thread

The 6 and 8 New York Giants travel to Minneapolis Minnesota this evening to take on the 9 and 5 Minnesota Vikings. The Giants still held on to a thread of hope of getting into the playoffs this year until last night's game between the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles that saw the Redskins win. The victory gave the Redskins not only another check in the win column but also the NFC East title while also ending the playoff hopes for both the Eagles and Giants.

On the other side of the ball, the Minnesota Vikings currently hold the 6^th seed in the NFC. The Vikings, before today's action, sit one game back of their division rivals in the NFC North, the Green Bay Packers. Minnesota still holds on to the hope of winning their division with their final game of the season against the Packers but are otherwise assured a playoff spot unless they lose their final two games and the Atlanta Falcons win their final two games.
