The Dolphins offense has struggled to find any rhythm this season, and they are extremely quick to abandon the run game each week, trying to turn the team into a pass-only offense. In yesterday's loss to the New York Jets, Miami threw the ball 58 times, running just nine.
Miami fired head coach Joe Philbin after the team started 1-3, including their Week 4 loss to the Jets. Interim head coach Dan Campbell was promoted from the tight ends coach position to take over for Philbin. Campbell then fired defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle, promoting Lou Anarumo to the position.
Eight weeks later, the Dolphins again lost to the Jets, and coaches again were fired, with Lazor now out. To replace Lazor, the Dolphins will promote quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor into the top offensive coaching position.
Dolphins QB coach Zac Taylor is Miami's new offensive coordinator, per source. Replaces fired OC Bill Lazor.
