Dolphins at Patriots Week 8 snap counts for Miami's offense

The Miami Dolphins lost to the New England Patriots. Before we move on to the Buffalo Bills contest in Week 9, we take a look back at the snap counts for the Dolphins, starting with the offense.

The Miami Dolphins joined the group of six other franchises to run into the buzz saw that is the New England Patriots in the first half of the 2015 season. Coming out of Foxboro on the wrong side of a 36-7 score, the Dolphins will now look to once again climb to .500, as well as beat an AFC East division rival for the first time this season, having already fallen to 0-3 after facing each of the other teams once. This morning, before we transition to the upcoming contest against the Bills, we look back at the Patriots game and the snap counts for Miami, starting first with the offense.

The Dolphins had five players take every snap for the offense, with quarterback Ryan Tannehill joined by left tackle Branden Albert, guards Billy Turner and Dallas Thomas, and center Mike Pouncey. Just shy of the 100-percent mark were wide receiver Jarvis Landry, who played in 97-percent of the game, wide receiver Rishard Matthews, who made 94-percent of the snaps, and tackle Jason Fox, who played 94-percent of the game.

Wide receiver Kenny Stills played in 83-percent of the contest, while Jordan Cameron played 79-percent of the game at tight end. The snap counts then drop to 56-percent, with running back Lamar Miller being the last player to appear in a majority of the offense's plays.

Running back Jonas Gray was on the field for 41-percent of the contest, followed by tight end Dion Sims, who made 35-percent of the snaps. The snap counts then drop all the way to just 6-percent of the game for wide receivers DeVante Parker and Greg Jennings. Starting right tackle Ja'Wuan James also played just 6-percent of the contest, leaving after four snaps due to a toe injury that appears to have him shelved for between 4-6 weeks. Fox filled in for James at right tackle.

Finally, Damien Williams played 2-percent of the game.
