The Miami Dolphins lost their second-straight game and fourth in the AFC East this year with an embarrassing showing against the Buffalo Bills this weekend. The Dolphins, who are somehow both still in the playoff chase and holding a top ten draft position, will now look to bounce back against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.
As we do every week, we take a tour around the NFL Power Rankings from across the internet, looking to see where the Dolphins are ranked. As expected, it is not good thins week, with the team falling closer and closer to the bottom of the rankings.

The Dolphins shine, acquired by winning two games in a row immediately after the firing of Joe Philbin, is wearing off as well. Miami dropped another road division game and didn't look particularly impressive in doing so, and fall to 3-5 and last in the AFC East. The Dan Campbell honeymoon is over, but he still has a chance to right the ship.

The Dolphins have reacquainted themselves with planet Earth. After beating the lowly Titans and Texans by a combined score of 82-36, they've lost two straight by a combined score of 69-24.

Campbellmania (trapsmania?) has slowed to a shrug. The once-mighty Dolphins -- well, the two-game-win-streak Fins -- have now lost consecutive contests by a combined score of 69-24. Ndamukong Suh has 22 tackles and three sacks. The defense is on pace to allow 412 points, which would be the highest total since the halcyon days of Cam Cameron, Cleo Lemon and Channing Crowder.

So much for the move to interim coach Dan Campbell saving the Dolphins’ season. Losing at New England with a short work week to prepare is entirely understandable. Following that up by having a long time to prepare and still being overwhelmed at Buffalo is a completely different matter.

Miami just couldn’t stop the Bills rushing game and they were pretty well dominated this game. The Dolphins just can’t get it together this year.

Two straight losses to division opponents, and it feels like the Dan Campbell effect is wearing off on an increasingly unimpressive team.

Now that the Dolphins are back to their losing ways, we can all get some sleep. But why do I think they’re going to beat the Eagles on the road? I must be dreaming.
