The Dallas Cowboys travel to New Orleans this evening to face off with the Saints. The Saints come in to the night in desperate need of a victory after dropping their first three games. Getting their starting quarterback, Drew Brees back for this game should help their cause dramatically but the Saints already find themselves three games down in their division. The Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons are currently leading the NFC East with both having started the year 3 and 0.
On the other side of the ball the 2 and 1 Cowboys have to go in to the game without their starting quarterback Tony Romo. The Cowboys hopes for this week and the season rest in the hands of Brandon Weeden who will be the Dallas starter until at least week 11, the earliest Romo is expected to return. Also missing the game this week for the Cowboys is star wide-out Dez Bryant who will miss his second game with a broken foot injury.
The last meeting between these two franchises occurred in September of 2014. The Cowboys won that contest by a score of 38 to 17 but have lost 8 of the last 10 games against the Saints.
