The Miami Dolphins have been one of, if not the, hottest teams in the NFL over the past two weeks, but tonight they will face a true test of where they stand among the NFL's elites when they head to Foxboro to face the New England Patriots. The AFC East division rivalry takes center stage as the Thursday night opening game for Week 8. Can Miami slow down a New England attack that has blitzed through their first six opponents? Will the Patriots be able to end the emotional high that interim head coach Dan Campbell has brought to the Dolphins?
New England is currently 6-0, sitting atop the AFC East and in position for the AFC's top seed in the Playoffs. Miami, after a 1-3 start to the year, has now climbed back to .500 and are just on the outside of the AFC Playoffs looking in. The Dolphins will be looking to end New England's undefeated streak to open the year, while New England, who never lose in Gillette Stadium, will be looking to prove Miami is not the powerhouse they have been over the past two weeks.
(Fun fact that I think of every year when Miami goes to play the Patriots. The spelling of the city where Gillette Stadium is located is acceptable as either Foxboro or Foxborough. Officially, according to the city, it is Foxborough. According to the US Postal Service, including on the name of the Post Office in the city, it is Foxboro. See, now you are learning random things by reading these articles.)
Below, you will find all of the information you need to watch the game.
