TNF: Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers Live Thread

The two and four Seattle Seahawks travel down to San Francisco to take on the two and four 49ers this evening. Much like Alpha swears there never was any cow, the Seahawks players swear up and down that they do not suck as much as their record indicates. They get their chance to start proving everyone wrong this evening while those Alpha/cow rumors are sure to persist. The Seahawks began the season by dropping their first two contests to the Green Bay Packers and the St Louis Rams. They then rebounded, sort of, by beating two bad teams in the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears. Not wanting to screw up their streak of losing two and then winning two games they then dropped the next two by blowing a couple of fourth quarter leads to the Cincinnati Bengals and Carolina Panthers.

The 49ers are of course experiencing the same level of suck this season. After losing their head coach in the off-season as well as what seemed like half their roster to early retirement and free agent defection, the 49ers still managed to pull off a victory in their opening weekend over the Minnesota Vikings. The celebration was though short lived as then proceeded to drop four straight to four solid to good teams in the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Arizona Cardinals, the Packers of Green Bay and the New York Giants. They ended their losing streak last weekend by downing the Baltimore Ravens 25 to 20. San Fran will have to break another pattern if they hope to win this evening, having lost five of the last six games against the Seahawks, including playoff games.
