Dolphins at Titans recap: Miami offensive snap counts in domination of Tennessee

The Miami Dolphins beat the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, the first complete game the Dolphins have played this season. We take a look at the snap counts for the Miami offense this morning.

The Miami Dolphins dominated the Tennessee Titans on their way to a 38-10 victory, moving the South Florida franchise up to 2-3 on the year and appearing to get the club back on the right track. A team originally seen as a potential threat for the New England Patriots in the AFC East this year, Miami stumbled out of the gate, and ultimately fired their head coach, Joe Philbin. In the first game under interim head coach Dan Campbell, the team came flying out of the gate and played with an energy and aggression not seen under Philbin.

This morning, we take a look back at the game through the offensive snap counts for all 19 players who made an appearance on that side of the ball. First up are the group of players who played every snaps, which this week included four of the five offensive lineman and quarterback Ryan Tannehill.  Joining Tannehill at 100 percent of the plays are center Mike Pouncey, guards Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner, and tackle Ja'Wuan James. Branden Albert missed one snap, playing 99 percent of the time.

Wide receivers Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews both reached the 90 percent of the snaps played mark, with Landry at 94 percent and Matthews right at 90 percent. Tight end Jordan Cameron played 84 percent of the time, with running back Lamar Miller in the game for 70 percent of the snaps. Tight end Dion Sims completes the list of players who appeared in a majority of the offensive snaps, appearing in 57 percent of the plays.

Wide receiver Kenny Stills was on the field 42 percent of the time. Behind him, there is a big drop off on playing time, with running backs Jonas Gray (16 percent) and Damien Williams (13 percent) coming in next on the list of playing time.  Wide receiver Greg Jennings also appeared in 13 percent of the offensive plays. Defensive tackle Earl Mitchell appeared in 9 percent of the snaps, all as a fullback, which tied him with wide receiver DeVante Parker.

Finally, tackle Jason Fox played  3 percent of the time and tight end Jake Stoneburner was in for 1 percent of the game.
