The Miami Dolphins woke up this past weekend and played a full 60 minute game, with the offense and defense both showing up in the domination of the Tennessee Titans. Running back Lamar Miller had his best day of the year, with the team feeding him the ball early and often, a change from the 73-percent pass play average offense Miami had been using leading into the game. Miller responded by gaining 113 yards on 19 carries, with one touchdown.
His performance has led to him being nominated for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week award. The winner of the award will be decided by a fan vote, so make sure you go to vote.
Also nominated for the award are New York Jets running back Chris Ivory and Green Bay Packers running back James Starks. Ivory gained 146 yards on 20 carries with a touchdown and Starks had 112 yards on 10 carries with a touchdown.
Dolphins fans need to vote, not just to get Miller the award, but to make sure a Jets player does not get it.
FedEx makes a $2,000 donation in the winning player's name each week to the American Red Cross.
