The 2015 edition of the Sugar Bowl will also serve as the second game of this years Division 1 first ever "College Playoffs" playoff games. The winner of this game will go on to the championship game to face the winner of the Rose Bowl, either Florida State or Oregon, that took place earlier in the day. Unlike the Rose Bowl Game though where everyone will be talking about two of the countries top quarterbacks, this game will feature mostly discussion surrounding the two head coaches to face off this evening, Nick Saban and Urban Meyer.

Nick Saban of course leads the Alabama Crimson Tide in to this evenings playoff game as the top seed of the final 4 with a record of 12 and 1. Saban has also cemented himself as one of the greatest college football coaches of all time having won 3 of the last 5 national championships to go along with the one that he had also previously won as the head coach of LSU. Bama's one loss this season came at the hands of Ole Miss but they were able to make it to the SEC Conference Championship game defeating Missouri soundly by the score of 42 to 13.

One of Saban's old SEC foes, Urban Meyer from when he was the head coach of Florida now leads the Ohio State Buckeyes. OSU comes in to the evening as the 4th seed of the final 4 with a 12 and 1 record. Like Saban, Meyer already has some National Championships under his belt having won two during his time at the helm of the Gators. The Buckeyes lone loss this season came at the hands of Va. Tech in their own building. By maintaining a perfect record in the Big Ten they were still able to earn a birth in the Big Ten title game where they destroyed Wisconsin by a score of 59 to 0.
