The Miami Dolphins are thin at linebacker, with Philip Wheeler and Jordan Tripp both inactive for today's game against the New England Patriots. They just got thinner as starting linebacker Dannell Ellerbe has been forced from the game with an injury.

Ellerbe stayed down on the field late in the first quarter, then walked off the field under his own power. While laying on the trainer's table, it appeared Ellerbe's leg was being checked. He then walked around the sideline before heading into the locker room.

A few minutes after he went into the locker room, the team indicated it was a hip injury for Ellerbe. He is listed as questionable to return.

Miami has starting middle linebacker Koa Misi, along with Jonathan Freeny, Jelani Jenkins, Jason Trusnik, and Chris McCain active for today's game.

Late in the first quarter, the Patriots lead Miami 10-7. You can keep up with all of today's game action in our live thread, discussing the game with fellow Dolphins fans.
