The Buffalo Billshave pulled EJ Manuel from their starting lineup, according to an announcement from head coach Doug Marrone today. In his place, former Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, and Dallas Cowboys(and one time Miami Dolphinsfans infatuation) quarterback Kyle Orton will take over as the lead signal caller.
Manuel lasted 14 starts with the Bills, who selected him in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He has a 6-8 record as a starter, including a 2-2 record this year.
Orton joined the Bills at the end of the preseason, signing a two-year, $11 million contract. After one month in the system, Orton is now the top guy for the Bills, who are hoping the change sparks a rebound after losing their last two games.
The Bills opened the season with a win over the Chicago Bears and the Dolphins.
Miami will face the Orton led Bills in Week 11 during a Thursday night showdown in Miami.
