Division rivals meet in tonight's game to battle for the right to third place in the NFC East or more importantly to not be in last place in the division. The Redskins enter the night coming off a short week of practice as well as down two of their starters, linebacker DeAngelo Hall and safety Duke Ihenacho who were lost for the remainder of the season following injuries in last weeks loss to the Eagles. Also injured in last weeks contest are guard Shawn Lauvao, linebacker Jason Hatcher and linebacker Brian Orakpo leading the team to list 17 players on the weekly injury report. The game last week also marked the first start of the year for back up quarterback Kirk Cousins who may have swiped away the starting position from RG3 with a brilliant showing of 30 of 48 for 427 yards and three touchdown. Pierre Garcon also had a nice game with 11 catches for 138 yards and a touchdown.

The Giants show up in Landover this evening fresh off their first victory of the year having beat the Texans last Sunday 30 to 17. The win over Houston was highlighted by running back Reshad Jennings gaining a career high 176 yards on the ground. Eli Manning also looked very efficient completing 75 percent of his passes for 234 yards, two touchdowns and avoiding throwing the ball to players of the other team for the first time in a half season worth of games. Receiver Victor Cruz had a bounce back game with five receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown. Cruz's first touchdown reception in the past 12 games. The Giants struggled at the beginning of the 2013 season, dropping their first six contest but rebounded somewhat winning seven if their next ten. They are hoping to start with a much stronger record for the first half of this season. The Giants have a history of coming on at the end of the season but last year that effort came too late to save their season. If they manage to  win this week they will star this season 2 and 2.
