Dion Jordan and Reshad Jones have another guest in the 4 game suspension clubhouse. Denver Broncos receiver and Miami Dolphins scourge Wes Welker has been suspended for the first four games of the season. Welker tested positive for banned amphetamines. Profootballtalk reported that Welker took a 'Molly', which was cut with amphetamines, at the Kentucky Derby. It was a similar situation to what happened with Dallas Cowboys defensive back Orlando Scandrick. According to nfl.com, Welker appealed the suspension but ultimately lost. It was uncertain if Welker was going to be ready to play week one due to another concussion suffered during the preseason, his third one in less than a year.
