The Miami Dolphins have signed 10-players to their practice squad. This is the first year in which teams may have a 10-man group, up form last year's 8-man limit. The players signed by Miami are:
Sam Brenner, center
Matt Hazel, wide receiver
Tony Hills, offensive tackle
David Hinds, linebacker
Seth Lobato, quarterback
Jacob Maxwell, tight end
D'Aundre Reed, defensive end
Lowell Rose, cornerback
Garrison Smith, defensive tackle
Tommy Streeter, wide receiver
Brenner, Hazel, Hills, Lobato, Reed, and Smith were all among the last roster cuts Miami made before Saturday's 53-man roster limit deadline. Hinds returns to the Dolphins after being released by the team at the end of the 2013 preseason; he was with the Tennessee Titans for the 2014 preseason until the 75-man roster cuts.
Maxwell joins the Dolphins after being released by the Detroit Lions as a part of their claiming of Michael Egnew, who was waived by Miami in the 75-man roster reduction.
Rose comes to Miami after being released by the San Diego Chargers this preseason. Also spent time with the New York Jets and Spokane Shock of the Arena Football League this year. He was an undrafted free agent out of Tulsa in 2013, signed by the San Francisco 49ers.
Streeter returns to his home town of Miami by signing with the Dolphins. He played college football at Miami before being a sixth round draft choice of the Baltimore Ravens in 2012. After spending his rookie year on injured reserve, Streeter joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013 as a part of their practice squad, and was again with the team this preseason before being a part of the team's 75-man reduction cuts.
