The Miami Dolphins announce this evening that they have come to terms with and signed center Samson Satele. Training camp thus far has seen mixed results from the center position following the news that staring Dolphins center Mike Pouncey will miss up to 8 games. This following his off season knee surgery. The Dolphins have rotated through several players at the position and this singing points to the team still having reservations about either Garner as the starter or possibly the overall depth of the position.
The Dolphins are said to be looking at Satele to come in and "help solve the snap issues" as well as add competition and depth at the center position. Satele originally entered the league as a second round pick of the Dolphins in 2007. Following the 2008 season the Dolphins traded Samson to the Raiders for an exchange of picks in the 4th and 6th round. The Colts signed Satele in 2012 to replace long time center Jeff Saturday and was released by the Colts this past March.
To make move for the signing of Satele the Dolphins have also announced the release of rookie guard Samuel Longo.
