Dolphins training camp 2014: Practice 11 live updates

The Miami Dolphins return to practice this afternoon after their first preseason game. We keep you up to date with all the action in out live thread

Scott Cunningham

Coming off their 16-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the first preseason game, the Miami Dolphins return to the practice field this afternoon.  The team will be looking to continue the things that worked against the Falcons, such as the rhythm the first team seemed to have in their one drive, moving 72 yards down the field on 10 plays for a 6-yard touchdown from quarterback Ryan Tannehill to wide receiver Brandon Gibson.

They will also be looking to improve the things that did not go according to plan, like tackling.  Repeated missed opportunities to bring down the ball career hurt Miami throughout the contest.  It is an issue that hurt the Dolphins in 2013, and did not start well in 2014.  Head coach Joe Philbin indicated the team would spend time on live tackling drills this week, trying to fix the problem.

Today's practice is open to the public, but it is the first (and only) afternoon public practice for the team in training camp.
