Bills trade up in Draft to grab Sammy Watkins

New, comments

The Buffalo Bills traded up to the fourth overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft to grab Sammy Watkins.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills threw the first curveball of the 2014 NFL Draft, trading up with the Cleveland Browns to the fourth overall selection.  To make the move, the Bills sent the Browns their 9th overall pick this year, along with their fourth round pick, as well as their first round pick in 2015.

The Bills selected Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins with the pick.

Buffalo clearly is looking to build weaponry around second year quarterback E.J. Manuel as they look to improve on their fourth place finish in the AFC East.

The Miami Dolphins currently hold the 19th overall selection.  The team's top needs are offensive line, linebacker, and tight end.
