A few days ago, we broke down the Miami Dolphins' roster into the projected offensive depth chart after the completion of the NFL Draft and the signing of Undrafted Free Agents. Immediately following the posting of that depth chart, the Dolphins started changing their roster, releasing some players while picking up a few others. For that reason, we waited a few days for the defensive depth chart.
(You can also check out the Miami Dolphins offensive depth chart, which we have been updating with the roster changes.)
Through all the signings and releases, including yesterday's announcement that the team had waived defensive end Gannon Conway, Miami currently has 88 players on the roster, putting them two under the NFL offseason limit.
This depth chart is, obviously, not official in any sense of the imagination. This is simply how I think the depth chart looks as of right now. Everything will change once players actually start hitting the field, and we get a better idea of how the coaches envision the team coming together.
