Miami Dolphins UDFA Tracker 2014: What undrafted free agents signed with Dolphins?

New, comments

The Miami Dolphins had a busy night after the end of the 2014 NFL Draft. Even before the last pick is made, teams are working the phones to try to sign the top undrafted free agent talent. According to reports, the Dolphins have added 21 UDFAs.

The moment the NFL Draft ends, undrafted free agents begin signing.  Even before Mr. Irrelevant is announced with the Draft's final pick, General Managers are calling prospects, hoping to sign them if they are not selected.  Following the selection process, the Dolphins had 71 players on their roster, meaning there are 19 open positions.

Our list of UDFA signings for the Dolphins has 23 players on it.  Obviously, something isn't quite right, but I'm not sure who the four extras are.  The thing to remember here is, none of these signings are official until announced by the team.  Every year, someone is said to have signed, and another team swoops in with more money and the player suddenly ends up elsewhere.  We will update as much as possible, but just realize that, without something from the team, these are all unofficial.

Some of these "signings" could also be invites to rookie minicamp next week, just to take a look, with the report coming out as a "signing."
