For the ninth time this year, the Miami Dolphins were on the clock during the 2014 NFL Draft. Twice, the team has traded out of the position, moving back to acquire more picks, and seven times, they have selected a player. In the first round, the team got their selection process underway with the addition of Tennessee offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James. The second round saw Miami twice fall back, ultimately giving up 13 positions and adding fourth- and fifth round selections, before picking LSU wide receiver Jarvis Landry.
Miami used one of their extra pick to jump forward in the third round, moving up to acquire North Dakota State offensive tackle Billy Turner, then picked Liberty cornerback Walt Aikens. The two picks before the sixth round selection were Georgia tight end Arthur Lynch, and Montana linebacker Jordan Tripp.
Now, with the 190th overall pick, the Dolphins add Coastal Carolina WR Matt Hazel to the mix.
