Dolphins schedule 2014 to be released 'mid-April'

The 2014 NFL schedule will be released in "mid-April" according to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello.

USA TODAY Sports

We've reached April which, for the NFL, means we are closing in on the release of the 2014 schedule. In past years, the release of the schedule typically would occur shortly before the NFL Draft.

This year, with the Draft moved to May, the schedule, according to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, who spoke with Pro Football Talk, should still have the normal release date of mid-April.

Historically, the league releases the schedule on a Tuesday, meaning April 8, 15, or 22 would be the most likely dates.

The release of the schedule is always a big milestone in the offseason, with fans able to start scheduling travel. It will also give us all a chance to start predicting wins and losses for the Miami Dolphins on a week-to-week basis.

One game for the Dolphins is already slated, as the team will travel to London to face the Oakland Raiders, in a home game for the West Coast team. That game will be played in Week 4, and most likely means both the Dolphins and Raiders will have a Week 5 bye next season. The full slate of Dolphins opponents are below.

Home:

Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens

Away:

Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders (Week 4 in London), Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions , Jacksonville Jaguars
