Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito text messages released

On Thursday, the Ted Wells investigation into allegations of player misconduct brought by Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Jonathan Martin is expected to be released. USA Today Sports' The Big Lead released over 1,000 text messages between Martin and guard Richie Incognito, which are at the center of the situation.

While the results of the Ted Wells investigation into the Jonathan Martin - Richie Incognito bullying situation are expected to be released on Thursday, USA Today's "The Big Lead" may have beat the league to the punch. On Monday, Jason McIntrye released the transcript of over 1,000 text messages between Incognito and Martin, which seem to show a lewd, back-and-forth friendship between the two players.

Obviously, the text messages were intended to be a private discussion between the two players, and they read exactly like that. They are extremely crude, with plenty of discussion about partying, drinking, women, and possible drug use.

Included in the text messages is the conversation over the Las Vegas trip, in which Martin has alleged he was forced to pay for the veteran players to go on the trip, despite not attending himself. Incognito tells Martin that he needs to bring $6,000 on January 9, 2013. On January 11, 2013, Martin backs out of the trip, and says, "Let me know if I owe you anything for the room," to which Incognito responds, "It's all good. Let me know if u need anything."

As has been reported by multiple media outlets over the past few days, there is an exchange in which Incognito asked Martin if he had gone to center Mike Pouncey's house after having been at a bar. Martin replies, "LOL hell no," then adds "No drugs for me rest of season." Incognito then responds, "Goooood That s*** is ridiculous." How the NFL or the team responds to the apparent drug use by members of the team will be something to watch once the Wells report is released.

When Martin left the team on October 28, 2013, Incognito sends a series of tweets asking Martin to call him and asking if the tackle is alright. The next day, Incognito wrote, "What's up dude Glad to hear Ur ok I'm here if u ever need to talk. I've been through enough shit myself to understand." He adds later in the day, "I miss Ur stinky armpits." Then continues on November 1, asking "How u doing buddy? Feeling better?? I miss us."

Martin replied "Wassup man? The worlds gone crazy lol I'm good tho congrats on the win."

Incognito then wrote, "Thanks dude It's unbelieveable all the attention this is getting. All that's important is that you feel better and know we know we miss u dude."

The conversation continued with Martin saying, "Yeah I'm good man. It's insane bro but just know I don't blame you guys at all it's just the culture around football and the locker got to me a little." He then added, "Btw...Never check yourself into a mental hospital."

Incognito responded, "I hear ya It's a lot to take in I've checked myself in before I had to threaten to beat everyone for them to let me out. Not fun." Martin sent back "Yeah bro it was the worst. I almost snapped and started breaking s***."

The conversation continued with Martin asking Incognito about an injury he sustained during the team's game then turning to video games. When later that night the news started to change the story from Martin leaving the team for unknown reasons to the allegations of possible bullying, Incognito asked Martin about what was happening. Martin replied "I got nothing to do with it man I haven't said anything to anyone."

The texts ends with three from Incognito, with him write on November 1, "I heard it's all coming from Ur agent?" Then on November 2, "I need you buddy I'm getting killed in the media." And, finally, on November 3, "Bro can we talk? The dolphins are talking about releasing me."

The Dolphins suspended Incognito on November 3, a suspension that stretched the remainder of the season.

You can read the entire transcript of text messages here, but as fair warning, know they are sexually explicit and filled with crude language.
