Dolphins to meet with Jonathan Martin's agent at Combine

With the Ted Wells report finally released, providing the results of a nearly four-month investigation into the Miami Dolphins locker room and allegations of bullying and harassment among the offensive linemen, the team and players involved can finally begin putting the entire situation behind them. That will start next week for tackle Jonathan Martin.

Martin, Miami's 2012 second round draft pick, was found to be the victim of a pattern of harassment from fellow offensive linemen Richie incognito, Mike Pouncey, and John Jerry by Wells. With two years remaining on his rookie contract, Martin is still a member of the Dolphins, despite having left the team in October.

According to a report from The Palm Beach Post's Andrew Abramson, Martin's agent, Kenny Zuckerman, will meet with the team at next week's NFL Scouting Combine. "We're going to meet with the Dolphins at the Combine and see what their plans are," Zuckerman told Abramson. "Right now they have his property, they have his rights."

Miami is expected to try to trade Martin, though there may be little interest in providing the Dolphins with compensation for a player they are likely to release at some point. While a return to the team has not been ruled out, Martin and the Dolphins both seem to want a fresh start away from each other. The meeting at the Combine could be the first step toward that restart.
