The NFL will announce the 2015 Pro Bowl rosters tonight at 8pm ET on NFL Network. This year's all-star game will be played Sunday, January 25, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. A week later, the stadium will host the Super Bowl.
This year's game will continue the fantasy-style draft process, a system they began last year. The first part of the draft will be taped on January 20, 2015, with the live prime-time portion on January 21 on NFL Network. You can read the full set of rules here. Each roster, when set, will consist of 21 offensive players (four wide receivers, three offensive tackles, three guards, two centers, two tight ends, three quarterbacks, three running backs, one fullback), 18 defensive players (three defensive ends, three interior linemen, three outside linebackers, two inside/middle linebackers, four cornerbacks, three safeties), and 5 special teams players (one punter, one kicker, one special teamer, one returner, one "need" player selected by the coach).
This year's alumni captains are Cris Carter and Michael Irvin. They will have final say in the draft, with assistance from offensive and defensive captains for each team (the two highest offensive and defensive vote getters from the fan votes) and alumni co-captains John Randle and Darren Woodson.
Which Miami Dolphins players do you expect to see make the team? Defensive end Cameron Wake should be a shoe-in to make it. Cornerback Brent Grimes and guard Mike Pouncey both could slide into the selection process. Potentially wide receiver Jarvis Landry could make it as a returner, given his 28.2-yard kickoff return average this season, good enough for fourth in the league through 16 games.
Are there any other players you would predict to make an appearance in the Pro Bowl game this year?
