Multiple reporters are following the Miami Dolphins victory over the Minnesota Vikings reporting that Dolphins owner announced that head coach Joe Philbin will be returning in 2015. This of course follows much speculation that he would not be back following another disappointing season where Miami has again missed the playoffs.
Most Miami fans expected that 2015 would open with current San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh or some of the other random candidates that had been rumored. Harbaugh of course is rumored to want out of San Francisco and has ties to Ross as they both attended Michigan who is also rumored to be after Harbaugh. With this news it seems as if all the rumors were just that, rumors.
Ross to reporters: "Here's a Christmas present. You don't have to ask me anymore. He has one year left on contract and is coming back"

Stephen Ross: "This one game doesn’t make a decision. I believe in this team. I believe in the coach. We’re building something great."
