TNF: Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars Live Thread

Thursday Nights game pits two NFL bottom feeders against one another. Both AFC South teams, the Tennessee Titan and Jacksonville Jaguars come in to the evening at 2 and 12. Both teams are also in prime position to earn the first pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. Two other teams, the Oakland Raiders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are also in the running with both also entering week 16 of the NFL season at 2 and 12.

Rookie quarterback Blake Bortles will continue to make the case that he is the Jacksonville Jaguars signal caller of the future while Jake Locker is most likely headed to a new team in 2015 after the Tennessee Titans starter was once again injured. With Locker being sent to IR for the remainder of 2014 and second stringer Zach Mettenberger also out with an injury Tennessee will start third stringer Charlie Whitehurst this evening.

The Jacksonville Jaguars enter the evening ranked second to last in offense with 293.8 yards gained per game and 15.1 points per game scored. The Titans are only two slots higher with 307.9 yards gained per game and 18.1 points per game scored. Things are only slightly better for Jacksonville on the other side of the ball with the Jaguars ranked 29^th in defense, giving up 372.6 yards and 26.9 points per game. The Titans are the second from worst team in the NFL defensive wise giving up 378.7 yards and 27.9 points per game.
