The Miami Dolphins visit archrival New York Jets in this week's Monday Night Football contest. Ahead of the game, the two teams have released their respective injury reports.
The reports start with Miami ruling out linebacker Jonathan Freeny and cornerback Jamar Taylor. Freeny missed last week's game against the Denver Broncos with a hamstring injury, and will miss this week's contest as well. Taylor started in place of Cortland FInnegan against the Broncos, but dislocated his shoulder, an injury that will likely cause him to miss three weeks.
The Dolphins did not list any players as non-participants in practice, though the Jets did have tight end Jace Amaro and defensive ends Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilson miss their workout. Amaro is working his way back from a concussion, while Richardson has a lower back issue and Wilkerson has an injured toe.
The limited participation list for Miami included several players at some key positions. Tight end Charles Clay, who sat out last game, is trying to deal with a knee and hamstring problem, while guard Daryn Colledge started against the Broncos, but rotated out of the game with Shelley Smith taking over as he played his first game in four weeks after suffering a back injury. Cornerback Cortland Finnegan has missed the last couple of games after injuring his ankle against the Detroit Lions, but was at least able to practice some on Thursday. Tackle Ja'Wuan James (neck) and wide receiver Mike Wallace (chest) were also limited.
The Jets listed running back John Conner (groin) and defensive lineman Leger Douzable (ankle) as limited as well.
Miami's list of injured players who were able to completely practice were guard Nate Garner (illness), wide receiver Jarvis Landry (shoulder), running back Lamar Miller (knee), linebacker Koa Misi (ankle/knee), quarterback Ryan Tannehill (left shoulder), and safety Jimmy Wilson (hamstring). The Jets' full participants included offensive lineman Oday Oboushi (shoulder), linebacker Antwan Barnes (knee), offensive lineman Willie Colon (knee), wide receiver Eric Decker (toe), linebacker David Harris (shoulder), running back Chris Ivory (shoulder), defensive back Jaiquawn Jarrett (calf), running back Chris Johnson (knee), offensive lineman Nick Mangold (shoulder), running back Bilal Powell (illness), and quarterback Michael Vick (right wrist).
