MNF: Baltimore Ravens @ New Orleans Saints Live Thread

The Baltimore Ravens travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints. Please join us to discuss this game or any of the other happenings around the NFL this week.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

The Saints enter the evening at the top of their division. Of course their division is the woeful NFC South where somehow a 4 and 6 record leads the way. The Saints who are usually very tough at home have now dropped two games in a row at the Superdome. New Orleans has not dropped three straight at home going back to 2005. A win tonight will not only keep that streak alive but will help the Saint keep sole possession of first over the Falcons that currently sit at 4 and 7. The Saints also lost two starters last week when safety Rafael Bush broke his leg and wide-out Brandin Cooks broke his right thumb.

The Ravens are in last place in their division and yet a win over the Saints would leave them only a half game back of the Bengals in the very crowded NFC North. A win would also leave them in a three way tie for second with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns. Parity, the NFL wanted it and they got it! The Ravens best shot at winning in a very difficult environment for away teams may rest on the shoulders of starting running back Justin Forsett. Forsett rushed for 112 yards on the ground and two touchdowns last week against the Tennessee Titans. The Saints, coming in to this game are giving up 146.3 yards per game and a 4.8 yard per carry average.
