Dolphins bring back Jalil Brown

The Miami Dolphins have signed cornerback Jalil Brown.

The Miami Dolphins have signed cornerback Jalil Brown, the team announced today. Brown was originally signed by the team at the end of the 2013 season after being released by the Indianapolis Colts. The fourth year player showed some promise in training camp this year before being injured. He was briefly on the team's injured reserve list before an injury settlement cleared him to sign with another team.

He re-joined the Colts in late September, but was inactive on most game days. He was waived by the Colts (again) on November 4th, joining Miami (again) today. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2011 to 2012.

Brown fills the roster spot opened by cornerback Will Davis, who was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury suffered during the team's Thursday Night Football win over the Buffalo Bills.

The Dolphins are dealing with several injuries in the secondary, with Davis landing on IR, cornerback Cortland Finnegan missing the Bills game with an ankle injury, and nickel corner / safety Jimmy Wilson playing through a hamstring injury over the past few weeks.

Miami next faces the Denver Broncos in Colorado on November 23.
