2014 NFL Week 9 Picks against the spread

New, comments

We pick all of the weekend's NFL games against the spread.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Wow, that was an ugly week. I thought Week 7 was bad when I went 5-8 against the spread, so Week 8 had to be better, right? Guess not. I went 4-9 against the spread, with multiple losses by 1 point, or even half points. It was just bad. Can I get better this week? Hopefully.

Overall, I'm exactly .500 over the three weeks I've done the picks against the spread, sitting at 21-21. Time to get back to winning picks.

Here are my fourth week of picks:

2014 Week 9

Philadelphia Eagles (-2) at Houston Texans - Pick: Eagles (-2)

Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys (-3) - Pick: Cardinals (+3)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Cleveland Browns (-7) - Pick: Browns (-7)

Washington Redskins at Minnesota Vikings (EVEN) - Pick: Vikings

Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals (-11) - Pick: Jaguars (+11)

San Diego Chargers at Miami Dolphins (-1) - Pick: Dolphins (-1)

New York Jets at Kansas City Chiefs (-10) - Pick: Jets (+10)

St. Louis Rams at San Francisco 49ers (-10) - Pick: Rams (+10)

Oakland Raiders at Seattle Seahawks (-14.5) - Pick: Seahawks (-14.5)

Denver Broncos (-3.5) at New England Patriots - Pick: Broncos (-3.5)

Baltimore Ravens (-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers - Pick: Ravens (-2)

Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) at New York Giants - Picks: Giants (+3.5)

Note: I will try to add my explanation of why I am making these picks later today. It was a long night, and a very early morning. Sorry for the lack of remarks.
