When is the Detroit Lions vs Atlanta Falcons game in London?

The NFL will have a rare Sunday morning game this week. Don't forget.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

This weekend marks the second of the NFL's International Series games for 2014, with the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons playing in London's Wembley Stadium. The difference between this one and the other two games for this year is the start time.

While the other games will start at 1pm ET here in the United States, a 5pm kickoff in London, this week's game is different. This game will start at 1:30pm in London, meaning we will have morning football this week.

The Lions and Falcons will be televised nationally on Fox, with a 9:30am ET kickoff.

That means, at least for this week, Sunday will be solid football, with a 9:30 game, the normal slate of games at 1pm ET, the 4:15/4:25pm games, and the Sunday Night Football contest. This weekend will give you even more of a football filling than the Thanksgiving schedule of three games will give you next month.

Enjoy the early, early game.

The Miami Dolphins will take part in the 1pm ET game slate this week, facing the Jacksonville Jaguars. Miami played in the first International Series game this year, beating the Oakland Raiders 38-14 in Week 4. The Jaguars will face the Dallas Cowboys in London in Week 10.
