Thursday Night Football features two of the best teams in the NFL this evening. The Bronco's who with the addition of Peyton Manning a couple of years back have become one of the perennial top teams in the NFL. Manning somehow has managed to get even better as a passer in what should be the twilight of his career since his move over from the Indianapolis Colts. Last week Manning took over the all time touchdowns thrown record with a dominating display over the 49ers with four more touchdowns thrown and a score of 42 to 17. Manning should continue to pad that record this evening. Manning to date has faced the Chargers 11 different times and has at least one touchdown thrown in every meeting.
The Chargers have also had a resurgence of sorts under their own starting quarterback Philip Rivers. Rivers is having another great season coming off of winning the "Comeback Player Of The Year" last season. The Chargers have become one of the better and at the same time well balanced teams offensively in the NFL. Running back Branden Oliver has taken over the reigns of starting RB for the Bolts. Oliver has run well to this point in the season posting an average of 4.7 yards per carry but will have his work cut out for him against a Broncos defense that is allowing only 74.3 yards per game rushing. While Manning won the first three games over the Chargers as QB of the Bronco's he lost their last meeting in December of 2013. Rivers and the Chargers will look to keep that new streak alive this evening.
