Dolphins injury report surprisingly clean heading into Jaguars game

The Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars have released their initial injury reports for their Week 8 meeting.

The Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars will face off this Sunday in an all-Florida matchup. Both teams released their first injury reports of the week last night, with the Miami report surprisingly clean for this late in the season.

The Dolphins had every player practice, some limited, some fully, but everyone was able to conduct at least a portion of the workout. This included safety Jimmy Wilson, who missed practices last week and could not play in last Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears. He was listed as limited with his hamstring injury, but, the fact that he was able to practice should be a good sign for his availability this Sunday.

Joining him as limited were offensive tackle Branden Albert (elbow), tight end Charles Clay (knee), cornerback Cortland Finnegan (neck), wide receiver Brandon Gibson (knee), cornerback Brent Grimes (groin), center Samson Satele (hamstring), and tight end Dion Sims (stinger).

The team also included long snapper John Denney (knee) and linebacker Philip Wheeler (shoulder) on the report, both listed as full participants.

The Jaguars, meanwhile, saw cornerback Alan Ball (bicep) and defensive end Andre Branch (groin) not able to practice. Ball is said to be doubtful for the game, as the team tries to determine how serious the injury to his arm is. The Jaguars announced after last week's game that Branch would miss six weeks with his injury.

Jacksonville listed center Luke Bowanko (ankle), cornerback Aaron Colvin (knee), running back Toby Gerhart (foot), and safety Craig Loston (hamstring) as limited.

[Editor's note: Previously, Brent Grimes was identified as having a knee injury. That information was incorrect, and was an error on the part of the author. Grimes was limited in Wednesday's practice with a groin injury.]
