NFL Mock Draft 2014:Duke's Mock Monday 1.0

NFL teams have begun rebuilting/retooling this past week with free agency. With the biggest part of free agency in the books, teams will look to the draft to find players they need to win more games.

Zach Martin has been the Miami Dolphins pick in most mock drafts. Where does he go in this mock draft?

Welcome to another #MockMonday. Now, on to the mock:

Houston Texans
Battle Red Blog
Jadeveon Clowney DE 6'5" 274 South Carolina
Houston has plenty of time between now and the draft to fall in love with one of the QB prospects. Until then, considering the loss they've suffered on the DL, adding the best prospect in the draft is the way for them to go.
St. Louis Rams
Turf Show Times
Greg Robinson OT 6'5" 320 Auburn
This pick could be shopped, but they could/should stay put and get the best OT prospect in the draft. Jake Long and newly re-acquired Roger Saffold can stay healthy. In that division, they need a good OL and Robinson gives them a beast at the position.

Jacksonville Jaguars
Big Cat Country
Blake Bortles QB 6'3" 230 UCF
Jacksonville used free agency to beef up the defense and now can get the franchise QB they need. They resigned Chad Henne to a backup salary and traded former first round bust Blaine Gabbert to the 49ers. They could take a pass rusher, but this is the better pick for the future.

Cleveland Browns
Dawgs by Nature
Sammy Watkins WR 6'1" 205 Clemson
The AFC North is ripe for the taking. The Steelers are old and vulnerable. The Ravens struggled and are inconsistent. The Bengals are at the top, but how long can they stay there? The Browns can add a dynamic weapon at WR to pair with another dynamic WR in Josh Gordon to give the Browns perhaps the best WR duo in the league.

Oakland Raiders
Silver and Black Pride
Teddy Bridgewater QB 6'3" 205 Louisville
The Raiders started off free agency bad with the Saffold incident and need some good news. They also need a franchise QB and have nothing on the roster that should give them pause with making this pick. Bridgewater could start day one and give the Raiders a chance to compete in that division.

Atlanta Falcons
The Falcoholic
Khalil Mack OLB 6'3" 248 Buffalo
The Falcons signaled they are moving to more of a 3-4 defense with the signings of Tyson Jackson and former Dolphin Paul Soliai this offseason. Mack gives the Falcons a good fit as a pass rushing OLB.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Bucs Nation
Mike Evans WR 6'5" 225 Texas A&M
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed a ton of free agents, including Anthony Collins at LT. They can use this pick to add another big WR to pair with Vincent Jackson and eventually replace him when his contract gt

Minnesota Vikings
Daily Norseman
Johnny Manziel QB 5'11" 210 Texas A&M
The Vikings resigned Matt Cassel this offseason. I'm sure that means they will still be looking at QBs this draft. Manziel is a polarizing player, but has potential to be a star player and the Vikings need a star QB to compete in their division.

Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Rumblings
Jake Matthews OT 6'5" 305 Texas A&M
The Bills have a good defense and can use this pick to beef up the OL. Matthews can play either side of the line and will open running lanes for Spiller while protecting Manuel from guys like Wake and Vernon.

Detroit Lions
Pride of Detroit
Eric Ebron TE 6'4" 245 UNC
The Lions want to add more weapons for Stafford and take some pressure off of Megatron. Lions were reported to be very interested in Watkins, but probably won't make the move up to get him. They added Golden Tate in free agency and now add a seam threat TE to replace the underwhelming Brandon Pettigrew, whom they resigned.

Tennessee Titans
Music City Miracles
Anthony Barr OLB 6'4" 248 UCLA
The Titans are moving to a 3-4 defense and need an edge rusher. Barr is a dynamic athletic who will give them an explosive player to get after the QB.

New York Giants
Big Blue View
Taylor Lewan OT 6'7" 315 Michigan
The Giants have started rebuilding their line by adding Geoff Schwartz at guard in free agency. Justin Pugh was a great pick for them in the last draft and they can continue that trend by adding a top OT prospect. They can move Beatty to RT and let Lewan take over the LT spot.

St. Louis Rams
Turf Show Times
Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix FS 5'11" 197 Alabama
The Rams have glaring issues in the secondary, specifically at safety. This is a good fit as Clinton-Dix can be a top end FS.

Chicago Bears
Windy City Gridiron
Aaron Donald DT 6'0" 285 Pittsburgh
Aaron Donald has been on of the biggest risers in this draft. He is undersized for a DT, but he makes up for it with his ability to make plays in the backfield. With Henry Melton leaving in free agency, the Bears can replace him with Donald.

Pittsburgh Steelers
Behind the Steel Curtain
Ra'Shede Hageman DT 6'6" 311 Minnesota
This may come as a surprise pick, but the Steelers need to rebuild their aging defense. With none of the top OT prospects left, the Steelers pick up maybe the best 5-tech prospect in the draft. Hageman gives the Steelers a young boost on the edge and will create pressure with 2013 breakout rusher Jason Worilds.

Dallas Cowboys
Blogging the Boys
Dee Ford DE 6'2" 240 Auburn
The Cowboys released their best defensive player this offseason and the Cowboys need to add a new pass rusher. Dee Ford is rising up draft boards and will attempt to fill the void left by DeMarcus Ware's departure.
Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore Beatdown
Marqise Lee WR 6'0" 200 USC
The Ravens needed to upgrade the WR position this offseason. They added Steve Smith, after he was released from the Panthers. But he is on the tail end of his career and would only be a short term option. Lee gives the Ravens a player who can threaten from the slot or outside and give Flacco a reliable target with good hands.

New York Jets
Gang Green Nation
Justin Gilbert CB 6'0" 200 Oklahoma State
With Lee and Ebron off the board, the Jets turn to defense and draft arguably the top CB on the board. The Jets wanted to reunite with Revis, but he went to the Pats. They were supposed to have had significant interest in Vontae Davis. It's obvious they want another CB, so they can draft Gilbert here. Gilbert has the skills and speed to give Rex Ryan a good prospect to pair with sophomore Dee Milliner.

Miami Dolphins
The Phinsider
C.J. Mosley LB 6'2" 232 Alabama
Of course I'm going to let the Dolphins draft the player I want them to draft. The Dolphins have addressed several glaring needs this offseason, signing several players to beef up the lines. They offered a contract to D'Qwell Jackson, but he chose Indy instead. They want to move Ellerbe out to OLB and have even considered moving Misi inside. It's clear they want to replace the free agent bust Philip Wheeler and the best way to do it is drafting Mosley. He is an instinctive 3-down linebacker that can stuff the run and is good in coverage. He can be the captain of the defense and has the chance to take Miami's defense from good to great.

Arizona Cardinals
Revenge of the Birds
Darqueze Dennard CB 5'11" 197 Michigan State
The Cardinals typically go BPA regardless of need and can get a CB to pair with Patrick Peterson to give them a dynamic duo.

Green Bay Packers
Acme Packing Company
Louis Nix, III DT 6'2" 345 Notre Dame
The Packers just resigned B.J. Raji, but he's in decline. They need a good NT prospect to anchor their 3-4 defense. Nix can be that anchor and will be tough on NFC North interior offensive lineman.

Philadelphia Eagles
Bleeding Green Nation
Odell Beckham, Jr. WR 5'11" 193 LSU

The Eagles want to continue building a dynamic offense and pick up a WR that will provide a speedy slot threat and a weapon in the return game.

Kansas City Chiefs
Arrowhead Pride
Xavier Su'a-Filo OG 6'3" 305 UCLA
The Chiefs lost 3 offensive lineman to free agency this year. They will surely move 2013's first overall pick Eric Fisher over to LT to replace new Dolphin Branden Albert. They will need to get a starting caliber guard and draft one in Su'a-Filo.

Cincinnati Bengals
Cincy Jungle
Timmy Jernigan DT 6'2" 298 Florida State
Geno Atkins is a stud DT, and the Bengals can create a scary defensive front by adding another pass rushing DT to the mix.

Keep up with all of our Mock Draft coverage

San Diego Chargers
Bolts from the Blue
Jace Amaro TE 6'5" 260 Texas Tech
The Chargers need to find a replacement for the aging Antonio Gates. They have an up-and-coming TE in LaDarius Green, but can give Rivers another weapon with Amaro.

Cleveland Browns
Dawgs by Nature
Derek Carr QB 6'3" 218 Fresno State
This seems like a cliche pick at this point, but the Browns need a QB. They like Brian Hoyer, but shouldn't bank on him being the answer. Carr is the best QB available and will have a team with a good defense and plenty of weapons at his disposal.

New Orleans Saints
Canal Street Chronicles
Brandin Cooks WR 5'10" 189 Oregon State
The Saints released Lance Moore and traded Darren Sproles. They franchised JImmy Graham, but have no long term contract with him yet. Marques Colston will be 31 when the season starts. The Saints could use a young prospect to add to their offense.

Carolina Panthers
Cat Scratch Reader
Kelvin Benjamin WR 6'5" 240 Florida State
The Panthers' top WR right now is Marvin McNutt... yeah. The Panthers went from Super Bowl contenders to a team in serious trouble as they lost several OL to retirement and WRs to free agency. They would love to get an OT, but can wait until the 2nd round for that, or sign a veteran stopgap after the draft. They need a new WR to replace team icon Steve Smith. Benjamin has the potential to be a big time WR in the league and gives Newton a big target.

New England Patriots
Pats Pulpit
Zach Martin OT/OG 6'4" 308 Notre Dame
This may seem a little low for Martin, but it's not implausible for him to drop. The Pats addressed the defense in free agency and could use some OL help. Martin can play OT or OG, and the Pats could use him as a OG to ultimately replace the aging Logan Mankins.

San Francisco 49ers
Niners Nation
Kony Ealy DE/OLB 6'5" 275 MIssouri
The 49ers have had success with Missouri pass rushers and could use a player like Ealy as a rotational pass rusher.

Denver Broncos
Mile High Report
Calvin Pryor FS 6'2" 207 Louisville
The Broncos understand that the window for them to compete for a championship is not very big. Thus, they went out and spent plenty in free agency to win right now. They don't have a ton of needs and can take the best player available. Pryor can help bolster an improving defensive backfield.

Seattle Seahawks
Field Gulls
Austin Sefarian-Jenkins TE 6'5" 262 Washington
The Seahawks could use a big target for Russell Wilson. ASJ is a big target and will be familiar to the team due to his proximity.
