2014 NFL Mock Draft: Phinsider Database 1.0

The 2014 NFL Mock Draft season is well underway as we reach the middle of February. We bring back the Phinsider Mock Draft Database to get an idea of what the internet is saying about the Miami Dolphins' draft plans for 2014.

Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

The Phinsider Mock Draft Database is something we posted last year, and it seemed to be pretty popular. Because of that, I bring it back today, giving us all a look at how various sites around the internet project the Miami Dolphins' 2014 NFL Draft.

For those of you who may not have seen the way we do this before, we start with a look at the picks from each individual site. Then, we combine all of the picks to see the percentage of the database for each player picked in the first round for Miami, as well as the percentage of the database to go to each position projected for the Dolphins' first round pick.

With that explained, here is the database:

As you probably noticed by looking through the picks above, Zack Martin has the obvious lead at this point for the Dolphins. In fact, he is just shy of having a majority of the projections. It's impressive just how many people see Miami landing Martin this early in the Draft process, and while it will of course change over the next couple of months, that's a big lead already for the Notre Dame tackle. Behind Martin, tackles Cyrus Kouandjio and Taylor Lewan also show up on numerous mocks.

With the domination of Martin, Kouandjio, and Lewan, it becomes pretty clear that tackle has the largest number of projections for the Dolphins' first round pick at this point in the offseason. In fact, the position has over 90-percent of the selections, and, with second place guard picks added, 96-percent of the mock drafts see Miami addressing their offensive line in May's first round.
