The Miami Dolphins have locked up their starting linebacker corps to long term deals with the announcement today of a contract extension to Koa Misi. The move puts Misi, who was set to become a free agent after this season, signed a four year deal, making him a member of the team through the 2017 season.
Fellow starting linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Philip Wheeler are also signed through 2017, both joining the team in free agency this year.
Misi has spent his entire four year career with the Dolphins, playing in 42 games, with 35 starts. He has 132 tackles and nine sacks in his career. He was originally selected in the second round of the 2010 Draft by Miami.
