Patriots claim Chris Barker from Dolphins

The New England Patriots have claimed their second Miami Dolphins player off of waivers today, with offensive lineman Chris Barker joining defensive tackle A.J. Francis in the move north.

USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots have claimed offensive lineman Chris Barker today, according to a Reno Gazette-Journal report, making him the second Miami Dolphins player claimed by their AFC East rivals.  Barker joins defensive tackle A.J. Francis as new members of the Patriots.

Barker originally signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent back in April after playing every game for four years at the University of Nevada.  He played both left and right guard at Nevada, switching in game, and sometimes, from play to play.
