The Miami Dolphins will add defensive tackle A.J. Francis to their 2013 practice squad, according to the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley. Francis was among the last of the roster cuts from yesterday's NFL imposed deadline for teams to be down from 75-players to 53.
Beasley also says Francis had another offer, one from the New England Patriots, but he turned it down and chose to return to the Dolphins.
Teams can sign an 8-man practice squad, consisting of players who have not accrued an NFL season of experience on the active roster. Players have to clear waivers prior to being signed by a team to the practice squad.
