Dolphins vs Texans: Miami drives 66 yards, ties score at 7

The Miami Dolphins drove 66 yards late in the first quarter to tie the Houston Texans 7-7.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins have tied the Houston Texans at seven late in the first quarter thanks to an 66 yard drive.  The team moved the ball, primarily through the air, in 3:53 on eight plays.  The touchdown came on a nine yard pass.

The drive is noteworthy, as it is the first time quarterback Ryan Tannehill has connected with wide receiver Mike Wallace this preseason.  Wallace caught three balls for 58 yards and a touchdown on the drive.  Tannehill also connected with Marvin McNutt for seven yards as well as had a ridiculous scramble for six yards after taking a shot to the face and somehow getting out of the pocket with somewhere in the neighborhood of 87 players at his feet.

The game has now moved to the second quarter, with the Dolphins holding the Texans to six plays for 31 yards.
