Aaron Hernandez has been handcuffed and led by police out of his home this morning into the back of a police cruiser, according to an AP report. The nature of the charges that led to Hernandez being taken from his home has not been released. An arrest warrant on obstruction of justice charges has been rumored for the past few days.

Hernandez has been at the center of an investigation into the murder of Odin Lloyd. It is unclear if the police consider Hernandez a suspect in the case, but they have searched his home on multiple occasions and have taken multiple bags of items from the house. Yesterday, a judge sealed the results of the search warrant.

"All records of the Attleboro District Court Clerk - Magistrate's Office involving the homicide investigation in the Town of North Attleboro have been impounded by order of the Court," Attleboro District Court magistrate Mark Sturdy said in a statement yesterday. "No further information is available at this time."

Lloyd's body was found in an industrial park June 17, and is said to have had "multiple" gunshot wounds. Lloyd, a 27 year old semi-pro football player, was on video with Hernandez on the night of June 16 at a Boston bar, then left early the morning of June 17 with Hernandez and two other men.

Hernandez's girlfriend and Lloyd's girlfriend are sisters. The car Lloyd was said to be driving was a rental car, which was obtained under Hernandez's name.

The potential obstruction of justice charges Hernandez could be facing stem from reports that the police discovered the video surveillance system in Hernandez's home was destroyed and Hernandez's cell phone was smashed before being turned over to the police.

The Patriots released a statement to ESPN saying they had no comment at this time.
