How did you become a fan of the Miami Dolphins?

We all have stories to tell as to why we all became Miami Dolphin fans. Why not share your story?

USA TODAY Sports

Each and every one of us share at least one similarity. That similarity is that we're all fans of the Miami Dolphins. But how did you become a fan? Was it because of family connections? Did you live in the area? Or maybe you just liked the name?

For me it was simple. In 1997 my family decided to move to The Bahamas, and that's where I spent my childhood growing up. Both my parents still live there, enabling me to still visit when I'm not at work, and catch the odd Dolphins game.

My first ever game came on a warm Sunday afternoon on December 19th, 1999 against the San Diego Chargers. The game ended 12-9 to the Dolphins, but with no touchdowns scored. But that didn't matter much to me. I was lucky enough to see one of Dan Marino's last ever games before his retirement. Since then, I haven't looked back. Today I watch almost every Dolphins game from across the Atlantic. I also try to make the journey to Miami at least once a year to catch a game at Sun Life Stadium. Nothing beats watching a game in that warm Miami heat!

So there it is. That's how I became a fan of the Miami Dolphins. Now it's your chance to tell us your story!
