Wednesday Night Random Live Thread

This is one of our nightly live threads. This means that you are welcome to discuss any subject that you wish but in keeping with the rules of the site we ask that you refrain from the discussion of politics and religion. Please remember that this thread takes place on the front page of the site, is not a CKC and as such try to keep things as near to PG as possible. Keep this in mind with the posting of pics as well and we ask that you keep them to a maximum of 5 per person and do not post Gifs. This keeps the thread load time from slowing down for those on slower connections.

This is the forty-second post in a series of top 100 "debut" albums of all time. AKA the best first album of some of the best artist of all time. Like previously stated I will be skipping over a few selections along the way to save us from the obvious pain of listening to some crap. Tonight I will not jump any selections and go straight from 10 to 9. Tonight's selection at number 9 is the 1968 debut from The Band "Music From The Big Pink". Combining Americana and Psychedelic, The Band went on to be one of the biggest bands of the late 60's and early to mid 70's. Also noted as Dylan's backing band for parts of the 60's and on many later recordings. There is probably not an Americana artist playing today that does not point back to The Band as an influence on what they do and what they became.
