Saturday Night Random Live Thread

US PRESSWIRE

This is one of our nightly live threads. This means that you are welcome to discuss any subject that you wish but in keeping with the rules of the site we ask that you refrain from the discussion of politics and religion. Please remember that this thread takes place on the front page of the site, is not a CKC and as such try to keep things as near to PG as possible. Keep this in mind with the posting of pics as well and we ask that you keep them to a maximum of 5 per person and do not post Gifs. This keeps the thread load time from slowing down for those on slower connections.

This is the eight post in a series of top 100 "debut" albums of all time. AKA the best first album of some of the best artist of all time. Like previously stated I will be skipping over a few selections along the way to save us from the obvious pain of listening to some crap. Tonight I am not skipping over any as the next in line at number 80 is the 1965 debut from the Byrds, "Tambourine Man". The Byrds, while doing mostly cover's on their debut went on to define what "Folk Rock" was and should be and to this day are looked upon as one of the greatest folk bands of all time and one of the greatest band's of their time, ultimately influencing scores of musicians to come after them. Even Dylan loved what they did with his songs and as props go it does not get much better then that.
