This afternoon, the NFL announced the preseason schedule for all 32 teams across the league. Of course, this is not the full regular season schedule, which is set to be released on April 16, the preseason schedule does have some interesting value to it.
Especially in a year in which the Miami Dolphins will get five chances to prepare for the season, thanks to the team facing the Dallas Cowboys August 4 in the annual Hall of Fame game. This year, the Dolphins will continue the tradition of facing the rest of the Florida teams, as well as adding a franchise from each conference's South division.
Here's the schedule for the Dolphins:
Hall of Fame Game (August 4):
Dallas Cowboys vs. Miami Dolphins, Canton, Ohio
Preseason Week 1 (August 8-11):
Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars
Preseason Week 2 (August 15-19):
Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans
Preseason Week 3 (August 22-25):
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Miami Dolphins
Preseason Week 4 (August 29-30):
New Orleans Saints at Miami Dolphins
The exact dates and times for the games in Preseason Weeks 1-4 will be set later. The schedule means Miami will play the ever important third preseason game in Miami, which will be the closest thing to a regular season game in the preseason.
The preseason schedule features two teams the Dolphins will face in the regular season. Miami will have travel to visit the Buccaneers and the Saints this year after hosting both teams in the preseason.
When we get firm dates, we will, of course, share those with everyone.
