The Miami Dolphins selected Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan with the third overall pick earlier tonight. Miami moved up from the 12th overall pick to get Jordan, swapping first round picks and giving the 42nd overall pick to the Oakland Raiders. Everyone expected Miami's jump forward to mean they were selecting Oklahoma tackle Lane Johnson; the Jordan pick was a surprise for just about everyone.
SB Nation's Dan Rubenstein takes a look at how Jordan fits with the Dolphins. Here's a hint - it's well.
The Dolphins return tomorrow with pick 54, 77, and 82 during the third and fourth rounds. On Saturday, Miami has picks 111, 146, 166, 217, 224, and 250.
