2013 NFL Schedule: Dolphins have seventh toughest schedule

The 2013 NFL season schedule has officially been released. With the schedule's release always comes the discussion of the toughest schedule in the league. Based on the 2012 season, the Miami Dolphins face the seventh toughest strength of schedule in 2013.

With the release of the 2013 NFL Schedule, the 2013 strength of schedule suddenly becomes one of the most debated topics around the league. Which team will face the toughest road to the playoffs? Who has the easiest route? Based on last season's win-loss records, the Miami Dolphins will have the seventh toughest road to the post season.

Miami's 2013 opponents had a combined record of 133-123 in 2012, including four games against division winners last year and two wild card teams. One of those division winning teams, the Baltimore Ravens, went on to win the Super Bowl.

The Dolphins strength of schedule is .520.

The only teams ahead of Miami are the Carolina Panthers (.543), Detroit Lions (.539), New Orleans Saints (.539), St. Louis Rams (.539), Ravens (.535), and the Green Bay Packers (.533). The Dolphins are tied with the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Denver Broncos have the easiest strength of schedule at .430.

The rest of the AFC East teams' strength or schedule are: New England Patriots (.508), New York Jets (.496), and Buffalo Bills (.473).
